Unpicking a Dead Boat: Collecting a Cruiser International 27 in Wisbech
Every boat yard has one. It is usually a forgotten corner where vessels go when their sailing days are officially over. Recently, the Boatbreakers team traveled up to a yard in Wisbech. Our mission was simple: clear a Cruiser International 27 that had deteriorated at the back of the site.
Beyond Economic Repair
By the time our team arrived, the Cruiser International 27 sat well past economic repair. Years of neglect took a heavy toll. The vessel ended up structurally compromised and completely unsuitable for restoration. Very little remained to salvage from the interior. Consequently, our primary goal focused squarely on recycling raw materials and clearing the space.
Extracting from the Dead Boats Corner
Extracting a derelict boat from a busy yard proves tricky. Fortunately, the owner and yard staff offered great help. Together, we unpicked her from the packed dead boats corner.
Working as a team, we maneuvered the cruiser out of the maze. Next, we aligned her for loading. Once winched onto our transport vehicle, we strapped her down tight for the road. Ultimately, hauling her away left the yard with a fresh, clean space.
Whether a boat sits in a driveway or a commercial yard, Boatbreakers is ready to clear the clutter. We ensure responsible recycling every time.
