Speedboat Removal and Recycling in Epsom

We were asked to remove an old speedboat from a garage near Epsom. In a new record for us we actually managed to collect the same day as the owner gave us the go ahead. We happened to have a gap in the afternoon and as Epsom isn’t so far we sent the team straight away. We’re not sure the owner was expecting such a quick turnaround.

Carefully, the speedboat was eased onto the trailer. This involved assessing the boat’s condition, securing it with appropriate straps, and ensuring a balanced load distribution. The trailer’s design, with adjustable supports and rollers, proved invaluable in facilitating this process.

The journey from Epsom to Portsmouth required careful planning. Road conditions, traffic, and the trailer’s stability were all taken into consideration. The fibreglass hull, while durable, required secure fastening to prevent movement during transit.

Upon arrival at our boat scrapyard in Portsmouth, the speedboat was unloaded. This involved carefully reversing the trailer and, with the aid of our on-site equipment, gently removing the boat. The fibreglass material, though resistant to many elements, required careful handling to prevent cracking or splintering during the unloading process.

The speedboat was then placed in the designated area for dismantling and recycling. The process of fibreglass boat disposal involves separating the hull from any remaining components, such as engines or interior fittings. The fibreglass itself is then processed, with the aim of minimising environmental impact.
