Follow a day in the life for the Boatbreakers team. We set off from the south coast and headed North east to Ipswich. The boat was a small Shetland that was in a sorry state. After a number of botched repairs she almost sank and the owner decided it was time to go. What do you think about the repairs that were done?! We made an effort to film exactly what goes on in a little boat collection as we winch it all up onto our flatbed trailer.
Once the boat was empty of water and loaded we set off back home. We dropped the boat into one of our recycling centres on route and gave ourselves a clear trailer for returning to Portsmouth.

Published On: June 14th, 2018One thing that the Boatbreakers team have learnt is that scrap boats never come quietly. Even a small speedboat on a trailer can cause problems as we found out this week. We were asked to remove a boat from Trafalgar Wharf in Portchester by solicitors who were dealing with the estate of a gentleman who'd sadly passed away.
