Damaged Quicksilver Boat Disposal in Devon

One of our latest collections was a storm damaged Quicksilver in Devon. The boat was at a property in Dawlish. She had clearly suffered some damage to her bow and other parts of her hull. We weren’t privvy to how it happened but it had all the hallmarks of a rough ride in a recent storm.

The team were asked to collect the boat for disposal from the owners home address. She was on a trailer complete with an engine. But the boat was insured separately to both. So this meant our team had to unload from the trailer and reload onto our own. Thankfully the engine was removed by the owner before our collection date.

Hopefully the engine will go on to be used on another boat. Or at the very least be sold on for spares. The rest of the damaged Quicksilver had very little items worth worrying about. We did remove the seats and the console complete with screen. But on a speed boat of this size that’s about the limit of what we would remove.

The Quicksilver was a manageable size too so it was easy enough to reload. Anything larger and we might have had to send our Hiab instead. Our boat collection team were fairly sure with the engine off and the fuel out that she would be light enough.
