Collecting a Teal 20 from a Storage Yard Near Havant
An Easy Hook-Up: Collecting a Teal 20 from a Yard Near Havant
Every now and then, our jobs take us from one extreme to the other. Just recently, the Boatbreakers team handled the collection of an old Teal 20 boat from a storage yard near Havant. If that model name sounds familiar, it might be because our last Teal 20 encounter involved wrestling away a full-sized tree, cubic yards of soil, and an angry ants’ nest on farmland near Milton Keynes!
A Refreshingly Simple Collection in Havant
Fortunately, this trip to Havant proved to be an entirely different experience. Instead of breaking out the garden shears and saws to clear out overgrown vegetation, this job was as straightforward as they come.
The Teal 20 sat waiting in the storage yard on its own trailer. Because the setup remained intact, our team did not need to break down the hull on-site. Once we arrived, it was simply a matter of clipping the trailer straight onto our vehicle, checking the connections, and getting ready to roll.
Escaping On-Going Storage Costs
Even though there was very little left to salvage, the boat consisted mainly of an empty GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) shell, the mission was a complete success.
Ultimately, the real victory of the day belonged to the owners. By arranging for us to take the unwanted vessel away, they successfully escaped the relentless, ongoing storage fees for a boat they no longer used or wanted. Whether a collection requires a complex dismantling job or a quick, easy hook-up, Boatbreakers is always ready to help owners clear out unwanted vessels and stop the drain of storage costs.
