Recently, the Boatbreakers team successfully navigated the logistical challenge of collecting a Macwester Rowan 22 from this historic quay for professional recycling.
The Logistics of a Crowded Quay
This recovery required a fair amount of patience and coordination. Because Topsham Quay is a busy working area, the Macwester was “boxed in” by several other vessels. We had to wait for the local lifting schedule to clear. Ensuring that the surrounding boats were safely launched for the season before we could get our equipment into position.
Once the boat was accessible, we dispatched our recovery team with a specialised flatbed trailer. The yard team hoisted the Rowan 22, and we secured her onto the trailer for the journey back to our facility.
