Searider 25 Collection From Hill Head Sailing Club

Our marine recycling and boat disposal team had a local collection for a Searider 25. The yacht was on a mooring near Titchfield Haven which is a popular bird watching reserve. This particular yacht was in the family for a number of years but had now gone past the point of economical repair. With the owner looking to step away from boating he asked us to arrange the disposal.

The collection plan was a simple as always. Her owner had the boat hauled out and mast down using the sailing clubs equipment. Then one of the team popped over to make sure that access was ok for our lorry. It seemed to us like there was plenty of room so we booked in our Hiab to load her. We anticipated that the Searider 25 would weigh around 2-3 tonnes. So we were always confident our Hiab would be able to lift.
