Storm Damaged Boat Collected from South Wales

Storm Damaged Boat Collection
Our Boat breakers collection team were in South Wales to remove a storm damaged fishing boat. She was on a road safe trailer but her owner wanted to retain this. So like many small boat collections we had to unload the boat and then reload it onto our own trailer. For a lengthy journey like this one it’s always good to use our own trailer.
Whenever there is a storm we usually expect plenty of enquiries to come in afterwards. This little boat was in South Wales and by the looks of it had been hit pretty hard. From the pictures we were sent by the owner it looks as if the boat was flipped over. Then spent some time upside down on the beach or rocks.
Salvaged the Engine
It’s always interesting to see the recovered boats after a storm. Although it’s always a shame when its a nice boat that has now been written off. On this storm damaged boat there was very little chance of getting items with any re-use. Her owner had already salvaged the engine before arranging us to remove the boat. As long as the team are made aware that the engine isn’t included we have no issue. It’s always good to help an owner get some value back from the salvaged boat. This helps to offset the cost of the disposal.
Free Disposal Option
If you have a storm damaged boat then get in contact. We can help you work out the most cost effective route for disposal. There might even be an option where we can dispose of the boat for free if it’s on a decent road trailer. This would mean that we could clip on and go. Then cover our costs of disposal through the sale of the trailer.

The next boat on the list to collect is a Westerly Centaur that had sunk on her mooring. We believe that the yacht had lost one of her keels in the mud which caused her to sink.
