Harbours across the UK and Europe are inundated with abandoned yachts, according to new research. The European Union Boat Digest Project estimates that at least 6,600 and possibly as many as 23,600 boats are abandoned every year.
There’s never a dull day in Boat Breaking. We remove boats from all sorts of locations from driveways to riverbeds, so when we were asked to scrap a boat that is still in the water in Portsmouth Harbour we were happy to help.
Call (02392 984666), Email, Text, or Tweet @Boatbreakers. We are based in the UK and can have your unwanted vessel removed once and for all. One call to us and we do the rest. We even have a Scrap Calculator to give you some idea of what the cost of disposal might be.
Before and after shots of a recent job we did scrapping a Wooden Yacht.
Our first scrap boat of 2016 was a 23 foot wooden Yacht that hadn’t seen the water for almost 20 years. In the early nineties the boat was housed in a cradle on the owner’s driveway.
At Boatbreakers since the new year we have been busy in the office giving our website a new look. We want Boatbreakers to not only be a destination for those who want to dispose of their boats but also a platform used for teaching safe disposal practices and creating relationships with potential boat breaking partners.
